LANSING, Mich. - Michigan's official state Christmas tree is being lit during Lansing's Silver Bells in the City celebration.
The 25th annual Silver Bells event is Friday evening. It includes a parade and fireworks show.
The 63-foot spruce was from an Upper Peninsula neighborhood in Bergland about 30 miles east of Ironwood and 20 miles south of the Porcupine Mountains. Josh and Amanda Lopac agreed to provide the tree that stood on their side lawn.
